APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #9058 FOR ELECTRICAL SERVICES - TIME AND MATERIALS
Description
Bids to provide 'Electrical Services - Time and Materials' were received from twelve vendors on April 28, 2009. The bids of T & J Electrical Corporation and Pembroke Electric, Inc., as primary vendors and Custom Electrical Systems, Inc., as a secondary vendor were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. PMH Group, Inc., is being removed from the bid list because they have proven to be unreliable in their prior relationship with the School Board. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The funds for these purchases are contained in the capital budgets allocated to the Facilities Services, Construction Services and Network Services Departments.
Recommendation
That the bids of T & J Electrical Corporation and Pembroke Electric, Inc., as primary vendors and Custom Electrical Systems, Inc., as a secondary vendor to provide 'Electrical Services - Time and Materials' in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
